Why an Analog
Photo Experience?
My name is Riccardo Pascucci, and I’ve been a professional photographer for about fifteen years.
Choosing a photo shoot today that doesn’t rely on digital technology might seem unusual at first. But for me—and for many others—it’s the most authentic way to work. Following your instinct, without compromise, is a form of creative freedom I won’t give up.
I create entirely analog photo shoots to maintain a physical connection with my imagination, with what I see, and with what I feel. The tangible presence of film—a real, physical medium—strengthens my ability to perceive and interpret the true emotions of the people and situations I photograph.
Also, the limited number of shots on each roll of film brings me closer to the nature of life itself: finite, imperfect, and therefore deeply meaningful. This limitation demands care, presence, and true engagement.
The warm, deep, and vibrant aesthetic of analog photography, especially in weddings, has a unique charm. It’s a beauty that no digital process, no compression algorithm, can replicate.
Photographs created through a photochemical process and printed with light, without any digital steps, have a special presence. They’re a conscious choice—made by those who don’t just look, but truly observe, taking the time and space to do so.
Finally, I’ve come to understand something essential: living inside my choices makes me happy. It inspires me, it entertains me, and it completes me. And I believe no one can give their very best without a bit of joy in the process.
